NUMULARIS dermatitis (DN)

     * One form of dermatitis of unknown cause with certainty, are chronic residif.

     * Many factors alone or together have been proposed as the causative agent:

Local 1.Trauma, both physical and chemical

Pathogenesis is not known with certainty. DN is due to local trauma mainly occurs on the hands, such as insect bites or exposed to chemicals that cause irritation.

2. Xerosis or dryness of the skin: increased incidence of DN in the dry season with low humidity. Environment with low humidity causes increased loss of water content in the skin, then change the composition of the lipid barrier of the epidermis so that skin becomes dry or xerosis.

3. Venous insufficiency and varicose veins: the discovery of cases with lesions along the leg veins DN raises suspicions that DN may be caused by the presence of varicose veins and edema of the lower extremities, causing the term varicose eczema.

4. Emotional stress / psychological: 60% of cases eczema is triggered by stress factors, and even said that stress is a major precipitating factors in dermatitis.
